Since my last blog Luciano & the Strictly boys have arrived.
Our boys - both 14 & 15 played in a soccer tournament against the teams they played in futsal. As I previously mentioned the 14s won their futsal tournament and the 15s lost.
That wasn't the case in the soccer games. Our 14s came in 3rd in their tournament and our boys lost in the championship game by PKs. The game ended at 1-1 and we then lost in 5-4. We had to go to 6 men before the game ended.
The 1st team the U16s faced was the team that whoopped us in Futsal. They came in thinking "Those Americans can't play!" Did we show them - we played with 11 - no subs... were beating them 1-0 with about 5 minutes to go & then they tied the game forcing it into PKs. Stephen Barna, our goalie, was amazing. He stopped 2 penalty kicks to their 1 stopped.
The celebration after the game was a sight to be seen. I have never seen boys celebrate losing like ours did that night. They dancing & goofing with the Brazilian boys was.... Just look at the photos....

Glad to hear Troy, Brian, and Anthony (otherwise known as the Strictly boys) have arrived!! Sounds like all is well. Thanks for the updates.
